Mental health counselling and
Focusing

For over 12 years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals who find themselves at a crossroads in life, facing challenges that feel difficult to overcome.

Clients often come to me seeking support with self-esteem and relationship difficulties, workplace challenges, managing stress, coping with grief after loss, or searching for direction. They are curious about their inner world, eager for change, and understand that true transformation starts within themselves.

Throughout my career as a mental health specialist, I’ve seen time and again how the words of the Hungarian poet Attila József resonate deeply in our work together: "You cannot wash your face in yourself, you can only wash your face in someone else's." In these supportive conversations, it becomes clear that healing and self-discovery often unfold most meaningfully in connection with another person.

Those who have gone over their problems countless times without finding a solution often feel a great sense of relief during the first session, because they can finally express everything they’ve been carrying for so long. It also often happens that, as a result of voicing their feelings and thoughts, something new emerges within the person seeking help during the meeting.

Anyone who comes to me can not only share their problems but can also expect my full, undivided attention. How is this attention experienced from the other side? When asked what helps the most in our work together, one of my clients responded:

"Your attention helps me the most. I feel that I function in such a way that when I receive pure, non-judgmental attention from someone, things begin to settle inside me and fall into place. Understandings and new perspectives are born. You give me that kind of attention."

I am present with this attention, striving for deep understanding as I try to enter their world, all while staying connected to myself and my own inner world. This, ultimately, creates the holding space where the person seeking help can feel safe.

Taking the first step is often not easy. Many of my clients have mentioned afterward how nervous and scared they were before the first session.

"Like in any new situation, I was excited and curious about what would happen, how it would be, and what would happen to me. But somehow, from the very first moment, I felt a deep sense of trust towards you. I remember that a teacher of ours recommended you to me. Maybe it was because we had a common point, but I remember sitting down and just talking and talking..."

If after taking a deep breath you also feel like talking, I warmly welcome you to reach out through the contact details above!
